Description
Grey heat resistant paint with satin look. Especially made for pipes in steel and for pipes mounted with a cast iron collector.
Directly applicable with brush or diluted with a spray paint gun (use our diluent 5020). Apply in two layers on a perfect underground (no rust, no grease). For this you can use our degreaser Restom®Motor Net 2010/ex-DU 2010 or rust remover Restom®PAC 2030.
Don't apply on a first coat but directly on the steel. Just let it dry 24h. It's only after the first warm-up of the motor upon starting it (after drying several days, one week ideally) that the final drying is completed.
Guaranteed temperature resistance: 400°C.
Resistant to fuels and highly resistant to corrosion.
For exhaust pipes directly on the header (some motorbikes or sportscars): the paint may come off the first few centimeters.
Required quantity:
250 ml (for 1 or 2 motorbike pipes)
500 ml (for a complete car exhaust system)
Apply two layers with an interval of 4 hours.
Cast iron in-take manifolds: use our Restom® PCE4070, which has been developped specifically for this application.
