Description
The use of Restom®SBF-L 490 DOT 5 in brake systems offers many advantages:
• The DOT 5 standard is the best guarantee for safe use. The DOT 5 standard is the most stringent standard for brake fluids and is also particularly suitable for competition vehicles. The standard classifies brake fluids according to their boiling resistance, incompressibility,... DOT 5 has a very high boiling point (over 260°C). A DOT 5 brake fluid is perfectly suitable to replace a DOT 4 or a DOT 3 because the higher the number, the better the performance.
• CAUTION: Not all DOT 5 fluids are silicone based. RESTOM silicone fluid is guaranteed to be pure silicone (purple colour). Restom®SBF-L 490 does not absorb moisture. The brake systems are therefore protected from rust, which accumulates on the wheel cylinders and destroys the brake pads after a few brake applications when the spring is on! The use of Restom®SBF-L 490 costs less than the replacement of a single wheel cylinder, even on a popular car! Its use preserves your safety for many, many years.
