Description
Restom®Detect 8840 enables you to detect what's the reason for the boiling of cooling liquid in the radiator.
This can have several reasons:
- broken cylinderhead gasket
- porous or split cylinderhead
- clogged waterpipes, calcified radiator
- waterpump taking air
The principle is simple: remove the stopper of the radiator. Instead, put a plug relied to a tube plunged in Restom®Detect 8840. Gas coming out of the radiator will bubble up in Restom®DETECT 8840.

- clogged waterpipes, calcified radiator
- waterpump taking air

In the last case, you don't need to dismount the motor and you will thus save a lot of time and money. A check of the waterpump or decalcification of the radiator can solve the problem.
