Refrigeration dryers are a key component in almost every compressed air system. They offer the most economical and efficient way to produce dry compressed air. By cooling the compressed air, the water vapour condenses into liquid water, which is then automatically discharged.

 

Water may seem harmless, but it is the greatest enemy of any compressed air network. During compression, not only air but also moisture is compressed. This moisture accumulates in the tank, piping and tools, causing rust, seized components, loss of lubricant and costly production downtime. What enters as harmless vapour becomes harmful water droplets during compression and aftercooling.

 

A compressed air dryer prevents these issues by efficiently removing moisture. Only dry air reaches the network, ensuring stable operation, longer system life and minimal maintenance costs.

These refrigeration dryers are designed for industrial use and operate on the principle of direct expansion with dry evaporation. The compressed air passes through a heat exchanger where moisture condenses at a dew point of +3 °C. The condensate collects in the separator and is automatically discharged via an electromagnetic valve.
