Description
Restom recommends using the super kit to treat petrol tanks in which the petrol has dried up or where petrol has been left in for a long time, as well as tanks that have contained 2-stroke mixtures and tanks older than 20 years.
Compatible with the following fuels: SP95 / SP95-E10 / SP98 / Diesel / Off-road diesel / Avgas 100LL.
Compatible with our fuel additives ADDIT 4000 and Stabessence 6075.
Superkits are pre-dosed for one tank and consist of :
a) Super powerful degreaser (SDT 4060)
b) Phosphorous De-icer (PAC 2030)
c) Two-component resin (EIR 2000)
Fuel tanks of old vehicles, are very often rusted and fouled with a stubborn sticky sediment with unpleasant consequences:
- Clogged filters and carburettors
- Bad odours
- Leaking tanks
- Ignition hazard....
To successfully and definitively repair the inside of these rusted and greasy petrol tanks, we present you the Superkits specially developed for this purpose. Restom has more than fifteen years' experience with this treatment. The protective coating is resistant to fuels (including unleaded petrol) and prevents the return of rust and even seals small holes.
For this treatment, you do not need to open the tank and you do not need any tools.
These products must be applied in the tank to be treated and their distribution is done simply by turning and tilting the tank in all directions so that the coating reaches all points and side walls on the inside. One starts the treatment with the SDT 4060 which degreases and removes all sticky sediments, then the PAC2030 removes all rust, and then EIR 2000 forms a liquid-tight anti-corrosion coating on the inside of the tank. Treatment is easy, curing is slow, which is necessary to properly cover all inside surfaces of tanks.
GOOD TO KNOW :
- It is recommended to start the treatment before painting or after any chroming.
- Choose a kit one size larger for tanks with partitions.
- Plastic tanks : systematically use SDT 4060 before plasticising with EIR 2000.
